Tennis Update for January

First of all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to those we did not see over the festive period! On behalf of your PBI tennis team we hope you had a wonderful time whether here in Dubai or away visiting loved ones. December was a busy month on the courts and January is shaping up to be much the same, kindly see the below highlights from last months and things to look out for in January!

Jumeirah Junior Open

The weekend of December 11th and 12th played host to the 3rd annual Junior club championships. Junior Tennis players of all ages from both JBH and Madinat competed in what turned out to be a very successful event held across both properties. Everyone competed with great spirit and positive attitudes, special congratulations must go out to the winners and runners up in the various categories – U10 winner Yuvraj Valrani & Runner up Aayan Raie, U12 Winner Luca Rossi & Runner up Simon Hery, U14/16 Winner Keiron Comfort and Runner up Alek Naim. Well done to all who competed!

Junior Program restart

After a two week festive holiday break all Junior group classes will resume on Sunday the 3rd of January. We still have 4 weeks to go before the end of this first term. Please contact  If you are interested in signing your children up for the second term commencing on January 31st.

Adult Master-classes

Interested in taking your Tennis to the next level, or perhaps starting from the beginning? Try joining one of our many Adult master classes. New arrivals

We are very pleased to announce the arrival of two new Tennis professionals in January. Due to the sad departure of Ivan to an exciting new venture, and Matiss to one of our properties in Hong Kong we will be welcoming Reinis Miljons and Ervin Eleskovic. Reinis hails from Latvia but most recently has been our Tennis Director in Doha, he has an impressive playing background and has worked in both high performance and recreational facilities in London, the US and Latvia. He is also, LTA, RPT and PBI certified! Ervin, like Reinis also has an extremely impressive playing background having won 12 Swedish national singles titles, competed for them in Davis cup and attained a career high ATP ranking of 351 in singles and 266 in doubles. Most recently Ervin has been the head professional in Ystad tennis club and has been working with a number of Sweden’s top nationally ranked Juniors.
